GREEN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES

Green Supply Chain Management is an approach that integrates environmentally friendly practices into the supply chain management process. It is a proactive approach to managing the environmental impacts of manufacturing industries and their supply chains. GSCM aims to minimise waste, reduce pollution, conserve natural resources, and increase efficiency throughout the supply chain. GSCM involves collaboration among all supply chain partners to achieve sustainable environmental practices.

Manufacturing industries can benefit significantly from Global supply chain management. By implementing GSCM practices, manufacturers can reduce their environmental impact, improve their brand reputation, and increase efficiency. GSCM can also help manufacturers comply with environmental regulations and reduce operational costs by minimising waste, reducing energy consumption, and optimising transportation. Implementing GSCM practices can also improve relationships with stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and regulators. In short, GSCM is a sustainable supply chain management approach that can significantly benefit manufacturing industries.

IMPORTANCE OF GREEN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (GSCM)

Over the last decade, green supply chain management has become increasingly important in manufacturing industries. GSCM involves integrating environmental considerations into all aspects of the supply chain, from product design and development to sourcing of materials, manufacturing processes, and logistics. Manufacturing industries need to implement GSCM practices because they can help to reduce environmental impacts, enhance corporate reputation, and create new business opportunities.
