As the world increasingly shifts towards digitalisation, 5G technology has emerged as a pivotal force driving this transformation. For enterprises, adopting 5G is not merely about staying current with technological trends; it is about unlocking new avenues for growth, enhancing operational efficiency, and gaining a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Understanding the readiness of enterprises in India for 5G is critical, as this technology is set to redefine how businesses operate, innovate, and deliver value.
The Voice&Data Enterprise 5G Readiness Survey, conducted in partnership with CyberMedia Research (CMR), sheds light on how Indian enterprises are navigating the 5G landscape. The survey reveals a strong and growing recognition of 5G’s strategic importance, signalling a paradigm shift across various industries. This report delves into the key findings, offering insights into how leading organisations adopt and harness 5G to stay ahead in the competitive curve.
5G ADOPTION: THE FAST TRACK TIMELINE
The survey indicates that a remarkable 75% of companies across diverse sectors have integrated 5G technology into their operations within the past two years. The rapid development of 5G infrastructure and the increasing demand for faster, more reliable connectivity are compelling businesses to prioritise 5G adoption as a strategic imperative.
Within this group, 50% of companies adopting 5G within the last year are currently in the active testing phase, exploring the technology’s potential in specific operational areas. Another 30% of companies that integrated 5G one to two years ago have moved beyond initial trials, deploying the technology across broader applications to enhance efficiency and productivity.
