The Filmfare Awards Assamese 2024 with Jeewan Ram Mungi Devi Goenka Memorial Public Charitable Trust, a grand celebration of Indian cinema, was held for the first time in Assam. The inaugural event took place at Taj Vivanta in Guwahati. Rima Das's remarkable film, Tora's Husband, claimed top honours, winning in five categories and solidifying its reputation as a cinematic masterpiece. Notably, it secured the Best Film Award (which it shared with Anur). Tora's Husband's director Rima Das won the coveted Best Director. Abhijit Das's compelling performance in the film earned him Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) Award, while the film also received accolades for Best Screenplay and Best Dialogue, both attributed to Rima Das.
Aimee Baruah was awarded the Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) for her role in Rongatapu 1982 and veteran music composer Ramen Baruah received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Check our pages to know more about all the winners.
