DIRTY DOGS!

SICK puppy Salil Zaveri is in the pound after fatally gunning down a pooch in Puerto Rico - for interrupting his golf game!

GOLFER KILLS POOCH THAT TOOK HIS BALL 

Despite his conviction for animal cruelty, Zaveri, 62, rabidly claims he acted in self-defense when he pulled out a licensed 9mm Glock and fired at the fido in May 2021 at Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Resort.

He insists the mutt was part of a vicious pack of three killer canines on the hunt and he'd previously seen the dogs tearing iguanas to shreds. He claims he feared the dogs would "eat" him!

But witnesses say the innocent pup was playful, not aggressive. They told cops the animal was about 30 feet away from the shooter and had playfully taken Zaveri's golf ball in its mouth when the teed-off terror shot the canine twice!
