BROKENHEARTED Kathie Lee Gifford's having a miserable summer, according to insiders, following a painful split from beau Richard Spitz and hip replacement surgery that's left her hobbling in agony.
The 70-year-old former Today show chatterbox spoke about her recovery, calling it "one of the most painful situations of my entire life.
"It's been really hard." An insider says the TV talk icon "has been ordered to rest, but it's challenging for her to sit still. She tries to do too much and all this lurching and limping does her no good.
"She aches all the time and lets everyone know it, too.
