CONVICTED rapist Danny Masterson and the Church of Scientology are facing an uphill battle in a big-bucks lawsuit brought by women who fell prey to his twisted sexual appetites, predict experts.

The long-anticipated civil lawsuit is set to restart in a matter of weeks now that the disgraced That ’70s Show star’s criminal case ended with the actor found guilty of two charges of rape after a shocking trial where Scientology’s practices were repeatedly attacked by prosecutors.

Now the church — and Masterson — are back on their heels after being accused of ordering his accusers, who once belonged to Scientology, of covering up his behavior by repeatedly urging them not to contact police.

“Danny has already lost most, if not all, of his Hollywood friends,” says a source. “They’re treating him like the plague now even as he rots behind bars awaiting his sentencing, which may not happen for months.
