AS CELEBRITY PHOTOSHOOT HEATS UP IN MIAMI PIRELLI CALENDAR 2025 JODIE TURNER-SMITH, SIMONE ASHLEY AND JOHN BOYEGA ARE AMONG THE STAR CAST

With its breathtaking backdrop of palm trees, mangroves and pristine white sand, Virginia Key in Florida provided an idyllic location for the 2025 Pirelli calendar shoot.

And among the famous faces posing on the Miami island for the latest edition were model Connie Fleming, Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley, The Acolyte star Jodie TurnerSmith and fellow Star Wars franchise actor John Boyega – and the photographer, Ethan James Green.

“I right away wanted to return to the calendar’s roots and do something sexy,” Michigan-born Ethan tells hello! when we catch up with him in London, at a time when the project was shrouded in secrecy.

“I wanted to go back to its history and the celebration of beauty is very much a part of that.”

REVIVING A CLASSIC

The calendar has achieved cult status since it was introduced by Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli in 1964. Merging high fashion with glamour, its artistic and often provocative images feature some of the world’s most famous models and celebrities, captured by acclaimed photographers of the era.

“I loved the calendar strategies of Herb Ritts and Richard Avedon,” says Ethan, who photographed Margot Robbie for the July issue of US Vogue and whose portfolio includes campaigns for Dior, Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Prada and Versace.
