But when Italian activist and businesswoman Livia Firth gathered a host of A-listers for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards, the meaning behind the beautiful looks mattered more.
"What makes me happy is when I see people coming together. We need a lot of kindness and togetherness right now," Livia, 54, told HELLO! at her annual ceremony, which unites the power of fashion and entertainment for positive transformation in the world. "We're all disruptors," she added.
"In a very simple way, we have the desire to change the world. We're activists and we want to do things better and with respect." Also joining Livia at the sustainability-focused 1 Hotel West Hollywood were supporters including Italian designer Donatella Versace, Oscar winner Helen Hunt, model Amber Valletta, and Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend.
