The overjoyed couple celebrated the new arrival with family members following the birth of their first child, whom they have named Iman - meaning "faith" and "belief" in Arabic.
Proud father AI Hussein, who shared photos of his daughter on Instagram, said: "Praise be to God for His abundant blessings. We are immensely grateful for the safe birth of our daughter and the health of my beloved wife, Rajwa.
"Our heartfelt thanks to our family and the Jordanian people for their kind wishes, which deeply touched us."
King Abdullah II and Queen Rania also shared photos of themselves cradling their first grandchild. "Little Iman, you have a big place in my heart. Our joy in you knows no bounds," Rania wrote. Another post read: "Iman, you've already got a hold of my heart. Our family has never been happier."
