“It was all laid out – my pink suit, Katherine’s white dress, Roxy’s red suit – and we just went, ‘It looks like a valentine!’” recalls Entertainment Tonight Canada alum Roz, who co-hosts morning radio’s The Roz & Mocha Show.
The valentine theme was doubly apt, given that the groom, by his own admission, tends to wear his heart on his sleeve. Last June, ahead of the release of his critically acclaimed memoir, A Little Bit Broken, the Montreal-born star revealed his intentions in a final secret chapter of the book, which Katherine had never seen before. The tear-jerking moment where she finally reads his proposal on the page was captured on video and shared online with fans. “I may be the only person who’s written an entire book just to propose to the person they love,” he joked at the time.
Now, Roz, 48, and photographer Katherine, 39, have turned to Hello! to share exclusive pictures from their intimate wedding and fun-filled reception, which brought together 70 family members and close friends, including HGTV star Scott McGillivray and Roz’s former ET Canada co-hosts Cheryl Hickey and Sangita Patel.
“All of our friends know how to have fun at the Drake,” he says of the boutique hotel and celebrity hot spot. “And Roxy practically grew up there, having had brunch at its restaurant with us since age three.”
