She outdid herself. Taylor Swift kicked off the sixth tour of her career her first concert trek in five years - in Arizona on March 17, leaving fans and critics blown away. Rolling Stone lauded the singer-songwriter's Eras Tour as a "3-hour career-spanning victory lap." The Atlantic said she "conjured actual magic," while The Guardian crowned her the genre's "hardest-working star." Across social media, the tour was hailed as an absolute triumph, as well.
But that's just the cherry on top. Taylor has enjoyed a wildly accomplished career since she released her first album as a teenager, including becoming the first woman to win three Album of the Year Grammys. And now, nearly 17 years after she started releasing music following public humiliation, headline-making heartbreak and an epic battle with her old record label - she's achieved the same level of success in her private life. "Taylor's on top of the world professionally and personally. It wasn't always the case, but she feels that she's in the healthiest mental state she's ever been in," says a source. "She looks back at the toxic moments and feels grateful that she survived them so that she could finally be this happy."
BEGIN AGAIN
She owes a huge part of her joy and contentment to the man she's loved for the past six years. When Taylor, 33, fell for English actor Joe Alwyn, 32, in 2016, she was struggling - fresh off failed romances with DJ-producer Calvin Harris and actor Tom Hiddleston and still reeling from a very public feud with rapper Kanye West, 45, who bullied her and accused her of lying after she denied approving a lyric in Ye's song "Famous" that branded her "that b----." The mass public shaming that followed, "with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote canceled, is a very isolating experience," Taylor's said.
