Trump plans to beat federal rap with no jail time

TEFLON Donald Trump has already slithered his way out of two impeachments and countless legal entanglements during his checkered career as businessman, reality TV star and politician — and sources tell The National ENQUIRER he’ll now beat a damning 37-count federal indictment by negotiating a shocking no-prison plea deal!

Left-wing pundits may already be rejoicing at the prospect of the former president’s incarceration for allegedly violating the Espionage Act and conspiring to obstruct justice, but behind the scenes, sources say the bombastic billionaire’s attorneys are cooking up a deal with federal prosecutors where Trump will plead nolo contendere — or no contest — allowing him to not only avoid prison but also continue his run for the White House unabated.

“Trump is convinced he’s got considerable leverage because of the national turmoil that will come from the public prosecution of a former president — especially one with such die-hard supporters,” explains a Washington insider. “He knows prosecutors are aware of the sway he has over his rabid followers and the level of social unrest putting him on trial will likely bring. 

“He’s convinced this kind of deal will be a win-win for everybody!”
