Sources tell new that Coleen and Wayne Rooney will mark their 15th wedding anniversary with a romantic vow renewal

Their marriage has had its fair share of highs and lows over the years, but as Coleen and Wayne Rooney prepare to celebrate their 15th anniversary, we can exclusively reveal their special plans to mark a fresh start in their relationship.

Sources close to the couple have told new that Coleen and Wayne – who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Italy on 12 June 2008 – are set to celebrate the milestone by renewing their vows.

“After everything they’ve been through, Coleen and Wayne plan to go all out for their 15th wedding anniversary,” a source told us. “For them, it’ll mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another – hopefully less drama-filled – stage of their lives.

“They’re planning a beautiful vow renewal, possibly in Barbados, with their closest friends and family. It’s their happy place and they want a quiet, understated, but romantic ceremony.”

The source explained that Coleen would like something similar to pals Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch, who said “I do” for the second time when they jetted off to the Maldives in December.

“She wants a stunning and understated white or nude dress and Wayne in a cream or beige suit,” they said. “Their boys will be centre stage, all matching Wayne in their little suits. And she is secretly hoping for a new diamond ring for the occasion. Something delicate, understated and beautiful.

“They’re in a really happy place right now and, while they’ve been out in the States supporting Wayne as he heads up DC United, Coleen has been planning things and focusing on their future.”
