'Holly's future is still uncertain'

Following Phillip Schofield's departure from This Morning, a source says Holly Willoughby's role on the show isn't safe either

Holly Willoughby has been off air since Phillip Schofield’s abrupt departure from This Morning, and in the week following his exit from the show, we hear that Holly’s job on the ITV1 programme is also up for discussion behind the scenes.

“Holly’s future on This Morning is still uncertain,” a source told new. “Bosses want to see what the public reaction is like when she returns. They want to see how she’s perceived by the public and that will determine her future.”

The 42-year-old took an early half-term break from the show on Monday 22 May after Phil announced he was stepping down with “immediate effect” after rumours about their offcamera feud reached crisis point. He admitted, “This Morning itself has become the story.”

Holly is due back on air on 5 June and our source said TV bosses are in talks about what’s next for the show.
