While it may seem like celebrities have the pick of the bunch when it comes to dating, they are often the first to admit that finding love in the limelight isn't always easy.

For singer Jamelia and Married At First Sight: UK's Ella Morgan, they were keen for all the help they could get when they signed up for this year's Celebs Go Dating.

As we grab the pair for an chat during the show's launch party, Jamelia and Ella tell us why their love lives haven't been going so well and how the show's trio of relationship experts - Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara - have helped to turn things around.

"I feel like the experience has just empowered me. I feel so confident now," says Jamelia, 43, as we discuss the impact of the show, while Ella is making history as the first transgender woman on Celebs Go Dating-something she couldn't be happier to fly the flag for. "I didn't realise how much of an impact I have made by being on TV and showing my journey, but I have and I'm really proud of myself," says the 30-year-old.

Here, Ella and Jamelia share what to expect from the show and why their dating skills definitely needed a brush-up....

Hi, Jamelia and Ella! Why did you sign up for the show?

Jamelia: I was drawn to the fact that it was free therapy and you get to have dates hand-picked for you, so I don't have to do the graft. I don't have to go to clubs or swipe right. To be honest, it was the right time in my life. I've been single for two-and-a-half years and I was ready to date and this came along so I was like, "Yeah, actually, I do want to do that."
