It’s almost a year since comedian Paddy McGuinness and his wife Christine shocked fans by announcing the end of their 11-year marriage.
And new can exclusively reveal the couple, who have remained living together in their Cheshire mansion, are in a much better place since their split.
A source said, “They are stronger than ever as co-parents – they have put the hurt behind them and are making things work for the children.”
Bolton-born Paddy first met Liverpudlian Christine in 2007, when she was a 19-year-old model taking part in a fashion show at the Liverpool Tennis Tournament.
After 15 years and three children together, the couple revealed their split last July following weeks of speculation. Having reportedly been apart for some time before the announcement, the pair made a public statement to detail how they would remain a family unit for the sake of their children, twins Penelope and Leo, 10, and Felicity, six.
“A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children,” they said at the time. “This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We’ll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together.”
And their wishes appear to have stood the test of time, as the former couple are said to be “happier than ever’ while navigating life as co-parents.
