Sam 'couldn't handle' Britney

Following the news of Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's marriage breakdown, a source tells new they believe the split was inevitable

Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari shocked the showbiz world last week when it was reported they’ve split and are headed for a divorce.

After just 14 months of marriage, Sam confirmed the news in a statement, saying they’ve decided to “end their journey together”.

But sources close to the pop star, 41, have told us that the writing has been on the wall for some time.

Speaking exclusively to new, Britney’s former bodyguard Fernando Flores said, “In my opinion, the relationship was never going to last. The only surprise is that they didn’t break up sooner.”

Fernando claims the former couple, who had been together for six years, weren’t quite ready for marriage – and that there had been problems brewing in their relationship.

“I think they clearly rushed into getting married, which is another pattern that is repeating,” he said. “When Britney falls in love, I think she always wants to make that person her husband. She doesn’t always think it through.”

He claimed, “Sam was rarely there, he hasn’t been living with her at the house for months. I’m told Sam couldn’t handle her mood swings. I think Britney can be a lot for some people to handle. She sometimes breaks down crying or gets angry.”

According to reports, Britney and Sam, 29, had an argument after he confronted her with allegations that she had cheated on him.
