MICHELLE HEATON
After turning her life around, it's no surprise Michelle Heaton wanted to throw herself into a new challenge.
The singer has been sober for 20 months and says she's finally strong enough to compete in a show as physically demanding as Dancing On Ice. "Even though I've always wanted to do it and my name has been in the hat, it was never the right time," confesses Michelle, 43.
"I feel really strong and ready. I want to do it because it's always been on my bucket list. The show is magical." She's mum to daughter Faith, 11, and son AJ, eight, with husband of 12 years, Hugh Hanley. "My kids are my biggest supporters," she says.
After going into rehab in April 2021 to fight her alcohol and cocaine addiction, Michelle clearly feels she has something to prove. "I want to try my very best and put my all into this - getting to experience something that brings a lot of happiness to us as a family," she says. "They've been my support system through recovery."
The star, who's paired with Lukasz Rozycki, has her eye on the prize. "I am in it to win it," she says. "I have to think I want to win and if I don't but I've done my best, then I'm happy."
MOLLIE GALLAGHER
She may perform for a living, but Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher says taking to the ice is out of her comfort zone.
"I've never performed live professionally - Coronation Street was my first job," Mollie, 25, says. "With Dancing On Ice, I'm learning a new skill, but it is performing and you can create characters and use your acting skills."
