Before heading into the I’m A Celebrity jungle, Sue Cleaver revealed she wanted to “shake things up” before she hits her milestone 60th birthday next year. And the Coronation Street star’s best friend of 20 years, presenter Richard Arnold, says that although she is a fantastic listener and a “shoulder to lean on”, she doesn’t suffer fools gladly.

Viewers saw the actress slam Tory MP Matt Hancock for his decision to do the show, due to the “impact” the coronavirus pandemic had on the public. Speaking to comedian Seann Walsh, she also called Matt out for abandoning his constituents, after taking on the series despite being a serving member of Parliament.

But we’ve seen Sue’s lighter side, too, like her bursting into laughter when Seann joked about her luxury item – Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream – calling it “lube”.
