How do you fancy a new you for the new year? Then you're in for a treat. There's so much innovation in the beauty world right now, with a raft of exciting new ways to get a fresher, more youthful look.
Here are my predictions for the top trends and treatments to have on your radar this year...
Keeping it real
With celebrities choosing to reduce their dermal fillers in favour of a more natural look, there will be a growth in demand for effective yet undetectable beauty treatments. Look out for the new, more subtle volume-boosting injectables such as resilient hyaluronic acid (RHA), a material made to mimic skin's natural hyaluronic acid so that it integrates seamlessly into facial contours and expressions.
Also expect a boom in lip filler alternatives such as The Laser Lip Lift, which uses fractional CO2 energy to stimulate the collagen-making fibroblasts in skin for a gradual, natural plumping.
Cellular healing
We're all used to putting on creams to slow down skin ageing, but in 2023 the emphasis will be "cellular healing" a preventative approach that focuses on antiageing from the inside.
Genetic testing will become even more popular, using a simple blood test to decode your biological ageing, identify your most likely age-related issues, and prescribe tailored supplements, exercise and diet.
There will also be a growth in regenerative treatments using your own blood and fat as a "cellular filler" to stimulate new collagen and elastin.
