Latina powerhouse Jennifer Lopez is a woman of many incredible talents so you would be forgiven for thinking nothing daunts her.
But it turns out there is one thing that fazes the 53-year-old – balancing her life as a global superstar while raising her two children, 15-year-old twins Max and Emme.
Discussing the struggle of bringing up teenagers who are now fully aware of who their mother is and her international stardom, J.Lo says it takes work, especially as they start to question her choices.
“You will always adore your children,” she told Vogue Mexico & Latin America. “There is an acceptance they have of you. And then as they get older, they start to wonder, ‘Why are we doing this? Why is my mom doing that? Do I have to do it too?’, that’s when they start to challenge you.”
Raising the children she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony throws up its own challenges and creates a “different relationship” they need to navigate together, she says.
