For Strictly Come Dancing’s Graziano Di Prima and wife Giada Lini, their eight-day getaway to the Maldives was more than just a long-awaited honeymoon. The romantic trip of a lifetime was their first proper holiday together, as they have only ever travelled the world touring as dancers since falling in love nine years ago.
Arriving at their luxury Intercontinental Maldives villa by seaplane, the couple were given the VIP treatment. After being greeted by bongos and Champagne, they were shown to their honeymoon suite with a pool leading straight to the Indian Ocean.
“I’ve never been to a place like the Maldives before,” says Graziano. “I couldn’t believe my eyes – the trees, the beach, the sand. You know when you see things on your phone and there’s a filter? It was incredible. I was screaming like a baby, I was so happy.”
“We felt so lucky to be there because after we got married last year we had just four days together before we were back working on the Here Come The Boys tour then Graziano was doing Strictly and I was in Italy doing Dancing With The Stars,” says Giada. “This was our first proper vacation ever and it was perfect.”
The couple tied the knot in a stunning Sicilian ceremony in Graziano’s hometown last July, exclusively covered by OK!. They swapped traditional vows in church before celebrating at a 14th-century castle overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, where he used to take Giada on dates when they got together back in 2014.
