With high scores for her quickstep, waltz and samba, CBBC star Molly Rainford has already proved she is one to watch in this year's Strictly Come Dancing competition.
The 21-year-old, who is paired with professional dancer Carlos Gu (making his Strictly debut), says, "I'd be gutted if it ended now, I'm having the best time." London-born Molly is no stranger to TV contests. She appeared on Britain's Got Talent as a singer at the age of 11, and impressively made it to the final.
But after she found herself in the dance contest's bottom two, she reveals, "That was tough. I definitely had to hold back some tears because I'm having so much fun and this can't be my last dance, you know? I felt like: 'I hope I haven't let Carlos down because I'm having such a good time and he's been such an amazing partner' and I didn't want it to end there. It was a tough night." Commenting on her Strictly experience, Nova Jones star Molly adds, "It's tough, I'm having the best time, I give it my all." Here, she chats, alongside Carlos, 28, about the show, feeling nervous and her mum's thoughtful packed lunches...
Hi guys! How has your time on Strictly been so far, Molly? Molly: It's surreal. I catch myself looking in the mirror when we're rehearsing and I have to go, "Am I really just practising how to dance for Saturday night?" It's crazy but I'm loving it.
It's your first series as well, Carlos, so how are you finding it all?
Carlos: Being on Strictly is a dream come true. It's literally like a dream.
And to perform the way we have, I'm on cloud nine. It's amazing. Strictly has loved us and supported us. It's spectacular to be a part of that.
How do you find getting up close and personal with Carlos, Molly?
