Naomi Biden, eldest granddaughter of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, is busy acclimatising to married life following her lavish N White House wedding to Peter Neal.
On the crisp winter morning of 19 November, the couple who are both lawyers - said "I do" on the South Lawn of the imposing presidential residence, in front of more than 250 friends and family members.
The bride, 28, wore a long-sleeved Chantilly lace Ralph Lauren gown and was walked down the aisle by her parents, the president's second son Hunter and his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle, both 52. A string quartet played The Verve's classic 1997 hit Bitter Sweet Symphony.
After the hour-long ceremony, the groom, 25 who looked dapper in a navy three-piece suit - escorted his wife up the stairway of the South Portico, which was embellished with ivy, white roses, and hydrangea.
The wedding party then tucked into lunch in the State Dining Room.
"There's just such beauty and history in this place, and we really wanted to honour that," said Naomi, who researched past White House weddings to make sure she and Peter got the tone of their nuptials just right.
But it was the groom, rather than bride, who was a stickler for detail, with Naomi admitting he turned into "a bit of a bridezilla" in the run-up to their big day.
