Thomas is trying to enjoy his burgeoning romance with Hope but gets pushback from his family, starting with Steffy, who asks how he would feel if Hope returned to Liam. “Thomas has actually gotten into a place of loving Hope and wanting what’s best for her,” says his portrayer, Matthew Atkinson. “And seeing the situation with Liam, the fact that they have a child together, if it’s the best thing for the kids and the best thing for both of them, then he genuinely wants that for her. But that doesn’t remove his desire for her or his love for her. He has a passion for her and would love for them to be together. To have her leave and go back to her family, I think that would be heartbreaking for him, but he would understand it.”
