Shaynna Blaze - 'It's never TOO LATE'

THE INTERIOR DESIGNER AND TV HOST IS TAKING A LEAP AND CHANGING THE COURSE OF HER CAREER

She's the interior designer best known for her work as a co-host on Selling Houses Australia and as a judge on The Block, but Shaynna Blaze had no qualms about changing tack with her career, releasing her debut single 'Warrior' on May 3. "There's nerves and fear of putting it out there, but honestly it felt right, it felt really right," Blaze, 61, tells WHO of her big decision.

After all, Blaze reveals, she has "always sung". Growing up, her mother often played theatre songs in the house, an interest that was passed on. But it was the demise of Blaze's first marriage, having welcomed two children, that saw her forge an even deeper connection to music.

"Back when I was first a single mum, I used to sing in Melbourne jazz clubs at night while my babies slept," Blaze explains on her website. "As my interior design and TV careers took off, I moved away from music, but I have never lost my passion for performing in front of a microphone. It quite simply gives me joy."
