Thiruvananthapuram: The name Thiruvananthapuram means 'the city of Lord Anantha'. It is a major information technology hub and is known for its beautiful ancient temples, historical landmarks, architectural treasures, natural beauty and sophisticated art scene. It is also home to Agasthyakoodam, where the rarest of medicinal herbs are found.

harvest Onam: The traditional festival of Kerala, Onam is a religious and cultural festival that lasts for 10 days. During this time, homes are decorated with pookalam or flower rangolis. The festival is also known for the Onam Sadhya, which is a meal of 26 dishes prepared and served on banana leaves. Villages and towns also come together to witness the Vallam kali or boat race.
