The year was 1996 and a young man from the revered Shah Family in Kolkata, primarily into real estate business was doing his academics at the St Thomas Boys School in Kolkata.

However, destiny had something else planned for Neeraj, the youngest in the family. He began dreaming of doing something worthwhile in hospitality and restaurant business and dedicated his intent and commitment to the cause. Thus, one of the first sky outlets in Kolkata was born at Lee Road, the Rooftop. Within no time it became the most sought after f&b address in Kolkata and became a popular hunt for the youngsters and elderly alike, a quaint family dining out destination.
