"Growing up with the character is such a gift," the actor, 31, says about playing one of the titular clan's heartthrob brothers on the hit Netflix series for four seasons. This year the steamy period drama saw Newton transform into a romantic lead, and he took the glow-up seriously.
Colin "had changed and become a man, and I wanted to embody that physically," he says. So who on the show is most like their character? "Most people say me. And I do take that as a compliment," Newton says. But "I'd like to think I'm maybe less of a pushover and slightly stronger-willed."
