Actor Billy Crystal has become one of Hollywood's most-popular stars thanks to a range of light-hearted roles in everything from When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers and Analyze This to Pixar's Monsters, Inc, in which he voiced lovable Mike.
His latest screen appearance, however, is a very different kettle of fish. In Apple TV+'s 10-part thriller Before, the 76-year-old plays highly-regarded child psychiatrist Eli Adler, who is plagued by insomnia and violent nightmares in the wake of his illustrator wife Lynn (Judith Light) taking her own life six months earlier.
