Five years after we first met Bernie Winter, we get to meet the fella who got her up the duff. Denny is his name and, as you might expect, he's a bit dodgy. Actually, scrap that - he's as crooked as a dog's hind leg.
Denny (Danny Cunningham, who starred in Corrie in the noughties as Linda Sykes' brother Jimmy) tips up after hearing a radio interview his son Paul does with Amy about motor neurone disease. After a somewhat stressful build-up – thanks to the taxi he has ordered being unable to fit his wheelchair in – Paul speaks passionately about his illness and society’s lack of regard for disability, but gets so carried away that he swears live on air.
