VANISHING ACT
NEW FROM THURSDAY
3 AUGUST, ITVX DRAMA
Based on a stranger than-fiction true story that captivated Australia, ITVX’s new import drama Vanishing Act delves into the bizarre disappearance of a selfstyled financial adviser accused of duping family, friends and clients out of millions to fund a lavish lifestyle.
Set in Sydney’s glitzy eastern suburbs, the three-part series sees Wentworth Prison star Kate Atkinson portray Melissa Caddick, who went missing in November 2020, aged 49, leaving behind her husband and teenage son.
‘It’s about a woman who, for whatever reason, wanted to be someone other than she was and that manifested in needing materialistic belongings,’ says Kate, who also starred alongside Guy Pearce in drama Jack Irish.
