Life on the FRONTLINE

MALPRACTICE
SUNDAY, 9PM, ITV1 DRAMA

The tense investigation into Dr Lucinda Edwards’ actions following a patient’s death has left viewers of ITV1 thriller Malpractice on the edge of their sofas.

For the drama’s writer, Grace Ofori-Attah, the high-pressure world that Lucinda (played by Niamh Algar) and her colleagues inhabit is a familiar one – Grace worked as an NHS doctor for over a decade, spending time in A&E as a junior medic before becoming a psychiatrist.

As the penultimate episode sees the enquiry intensify, here, in an exclusive interview, Grace tells TV Times why she wanted to pen the series…

You must be thrilled with the reaction to Malpractice

How much of the five-part series is based on what you witnessed as a doctor?
