SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY
SATURDAY, 7PM, ITV1 ENTERTAINMENT
Prepare for more spectacular stunts and sweet surprises as Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly bring us a 19th series of their star-spangled ITV1 extravaganza, Saturday Night Takeaway.
Here, Ant and Dec, both 47, tell us why it’s still set to be ‘the happiest 90 minutes of the week’...
We can’t wait for the new series! Are you still as excited as when the show began in 2002?
ANT Absolutely! It’s unlike any other show we do. It’s live, frantic and anything can happen. We love being part of it, creating ideas for it and having a laugh on a Saturday night.
DEC The beauty of Takeaway is there are lots of elements that we constantly interchange, which always keeps it fresh for us and the audience.
Are all of the Takeaway family – Stephen Mulhern, Fleur East, Jordan North and Andi Peters – returning?
DEC Yes, the whole gang is back.
ANT Stephen Mulhern actually pays us to be on Takeaway – that’s how much he loves doing this show! [Stephen will again be pitting the pals against each other in more Ant vs Dec challenges.]
Once again, you’ll be donning disguises to prank celebrities in fan-favourite segment Undercover. Who’s in your sights this time?
DEC We did Undercovers on Alison Hammond and Rylan Clark, which were both very different but both very funny! We set one of them in a ‘haunted’ hotel.
