OF TEXTURES AND TRANSFORMATION
While gearing up for yet another season of wowing Parisian fashion showgoers, Vaishali Shadangule unveiled her new flagship store in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, in January this year. Housed within its walls, alongside her couture and demi-couture weaves, is her first home decor and furnishings line. Each home accessory is created entirely out of upcycled materials as a continuation of her craft-based practice that transforms discarded fabric into distinctive corded couture. This also marks the beginning of Shadangule’s association with Vespa, which extends beyond the opening of the Vaishali S flagship store to their joint participation in the upcoming Paris Haute Couture Week.
The designer gives us a sneak peek into all that went into bringing this new chapter for the brand to life.
