Breast evaluation for Cancer:

One can never emphasize less about the importance of physical examination of the breast to detect breast cancer. Mammography is an X-ray procedure that helps detect lumps in the breast. The rule of thumb one follows in India is:
Between Ages 30 years to 40 years: Clinical Examination by an Oncologist every 6 months
Between 41 - 55 years: Annual Mammogram along with Clinical examination
Beyond 55 years: Mammogram once in two years
