Gulmohar

As a precursor to Holi which also happens to be one of the key themes running through the film, the Director and the cast of "Gulmohar'did an impromptu holi celebration at a recently held event in Le Meridiene New Delhi, Sharmila Tagore put a little color on everyone's face just like she did in the film, and Manoj Bajpayee threw flower petals and danced to the Hori Mein song from the film, recreating a festive feel.

Director Rahul V Chittella explores different points of view across three generations of a family as they navigate change in his debut feature film 'Gulmohar'

Sharmila Tagore makes her comeback after 12-years and that too on OTT as Kusum Batra, and at this stage of her life, she wants to play positive characters of her age and the character of Kusum appealed her. Kusum is very close to her in real life. "I looked at the character and wanted to be a part of the film. When asked why she chose OTT, she told that at this stage of her life, the priority is just the character she plays. OTT is such a beautiful platform and she has seen so many films that normally she would not have seen. OTT has connected the world together. Our interaction used to be with only with the camera those times. But now it's with audience

She was away from the screen for such a long time but still was very comfortable at the sets. "Everybody was concentrating on their work while being relaxed and after that, we would all chat and be friendly. We had become a family, so the entire experience was wonderful.

While lauding the director, she added," His presence was so comforting and calming to me that I had to give my best. This is the story of three generations-My generation, Manoj Ji's and Suraj's

In the beginning, everyone is what they are and by the end there was growth in each one of us. We all had our own space where we can give our best

Everyone did the best. There is a cameo role of one agent who was to show the houses was so wonderful. Everyone, every scène, every dialogue is important in the film It's a very balanced film."
