Satya Sankalpa

We have some very interesting words in yoga. There is, for example, an idea of what is called Satya Sankalpa. That means that if one thinks of something, it happens. It is a kind of Sankalpa Siddhi. What is really important is that what you think has been thought about well and as a result, it is pronounced.

Our usual habit is to go on talking any nonsense and much of it has no meaning at all. So it is unlikely that all we speak would bear any fruit at all. An individual who thinks clearly, speaks clearly, is likely to see things happen. I decide that I will do my yoga Asanas; I do them for a few days, then I give excuses. Even while doing the Asana, I do not do it with that same amount of attention as I might have at the start. This total involvement does not occur and that is where the fault lies. So, truly speaking, I would not be doing them. Hence, the good that the Asana can do, does not come.
