A New Member of the Human Family Tree?

Although beginning with a common ancestor, humans and chimps parted ways long ago, with humans walking upright and chimps remaining as knuckle-walkers.

When did this split happen? We're not entirely sure, but scientists believe they may have found evidence of the earliest human relative yet discovered to walk upright on two legs. Say hello to Sahelanthropus tchadensis!
