Once an average Victorian semi, this newly refurbished family home couldn’t tick any more boxes for the way we want to live now.
Light and open, yet with spaces that can be closed off for cosiness or privacy (the living room and home office), and with a kitchen-seamlessly-meetsgarden rear extension, plus inventive ideas like a double-height atrium in the entrance, it has a wow sensation the moment you enter.
Needless to say, the owners – whose main requirement was for a ‘bright, warm yet practical family home’ – are absolutely delighted that they have been gently pushed out of their comfort zone into a house that astonishes and delights at every turn.
‘The clients, a professional couple with a young son and daughter, approached us as they liked that we offer a design and build service all under one roof, ‘ says Caroline Milns of Zulufish, who worked in partnership with HUX London for this project.
