I absolutely love Christmas time. I start preparing for it when the autumn sets in -planting lots of little and large pots of paperwhite narcissi and hyacinths indoors for the Christmas table and the bedrooms. And, of course, preparing the plum pudding, Christmas cake and spiced apple chutney, made with fruit from our orchard, to serve with cheese and leftover turkey and ham.
