1 Signs (2002). If your kryptonite is water, why invade a planet that is 3/4th ocean? The aliens who gave everyone a fright with their crop circles in this M Night Shyamalan film didn't think things through. They looked scary and communicated in an eerie rattling sound. But are you really an intelligent race when a few glasses of tap water can destroy you?
We love the spoof in Scary Movie 3.
2 Lilo and Stitch (2002). Stitch, aka Experiment 626, is the cutest alien. He crash-lands on Kaua'i in Hawaii and gets adopted by orphaned kid Lilo, who mistakes him for a dog. Stitch, just by the way, is genetically engineered to cause destruction. But the two develop a sweet and strong bond, enough to turn Stitch away from his destructive streak, and have PG-rated adventures. In conclusion: Love is the best weapon. Earthlings!
3 Stranger Things (2016-). Okay, so the demogorgons are not exactly from another planet - they're just from a parallel dimension, the Upside Down. But they're scary enough to freak out the little town of Hawkins. Fun fact: The demogorgons are merely following the orders of Vecna, a monster created by a power-hungry scientist who's very much human.
