What sets the GVLLVNT brand apart?

Tshepo Rakale: We epitomise bravery, modernity, change, and superior craftsmanship. Our mission is to redefine the modern man’s perception of menswear through our bold and uniquely tailored suits. Continuously reinventing ourselves, we refine and create new signature GVLLVNT cuts that make a statement while remaining timeless.

GVLLVNT (Gallant) is a sanctuary for leaders, champions, and all courageous and audacious men. We provide a platform for clients to feel empowered and confident in their own skin by meticulously crafting tailored pieces with exquisite attention to detail. Perfection in every aspect – that’s the GVLLVNT ethos.

How did you come up with the brand name GVLLVNT, and what significance does it hold for you?

The name was inspired by a lesson in high school when my teacher was reading the book Hamlet, and I came across the term “gallant”. Upon the teacher explaining what the word meant, it perfectly described the man I aspired to be. When I started working on my clothing brand after high school, “gallant” encapsulated the essence of what I wanted my brand to represent.

The word “gallant” can be used as an adjective to describe someone who is brave, chivalrous, or courteous. It can also refer to a person who is stylish, dashing, and fashionable. When used as a noun, it can refer to a man who is brave and distinguished, often associated with acts of heroism, bravery, or with the ideals of chivalry and honour.
