Australians have been warned the rainy start to spring is set to continue, with no immediate end in sight. After copping our fifth-wettest September on record, the forecast for the coming months is just as wild, says meteorologist Jane Bunn.

“The current pattern is set to continue well into the summer,” Jane tells New Idea. “We’re in a weather pattern where both the Pacific and Indian oceans are set up to send excessive tropical moisture towards Australia. When we have excess moisture, it fuels floods and storms.”
