There is a new beauty superhero in town, and the buzz for the past few months have been all about the Clarins Precious range, which is newly launched in Singapore. So I was more than thrilled to receive a set of the Precious La Crème Anti-Ageing Moisturiser and Precious La Crème Yeux Anti-Ageing Eye Cream - just in time for a long road trip through the French countryside.
Being in a high-stress role working long and irregular hours, my naturally oily complexion has always been temperamental. Add to that, I travel for work regularly and constantly face severe skin dehydration issues, no thanks to many long-haul flights.
Trying these new products on my escapade in France, during summer, would certainly put them to the test. And how serendipitous it is, to use a French-made luxury product back in its homeland? More than that, I was excited to read about the main ingredient for the Precious range the Moonlight flower. Considered a botanical gem, this delicate, vanilla-scented white flower found in the forests of Central America is so rare and elusive that it blooms, at night, only once a year, and sometimes every two decades. Thanks to Clarins' foresight, the Moonlight flower is now grown within a 6,000sqm estate in Brittany at a controlled temperature of 3 deg C.
From years of research, Clarins' ethnobotanists were able to unlock this mysterious flower's ultimate secret through cryoextraction, unleashing its incredible power using an exceptional technological process to stimulate the skin's innate protective ability, longevity and youthfulness.
