LG updates the dishwasher with four arms and an injection of steam

Steam: it’s both the hottest and wettest of all the elements. Beloved of Turkish bath enthusiasts, people who like to cook veg in a healthy manner and ’90s boy band East 17. Now, LG its bringing its moist heat to bear on doing the washing up, with a fresh range of QuadWash Steam dishwashers (from £799, lg.com).

The humble dishwasher is already one of the most useful inventions in humanity’s history, but LG is determined to make this beloved appliance even better. The “exclusive TrueSteam” technology, LG says, means the QuadWash range “not only cleans more effectively, but also more efficiently”. Which surely is just making the same claim twice, but never mind.
