Audi has unveiled the new Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron, which mark its first foray into the compact electric sports utility vehicle (eSUV) category. With their progressive designs, sporty performance and lifestyle-friendly features, the new cars are all-rounders that will appeal to young families, animal lovers and motoring enthusiasts alike.
CONCEPT TO REALITY
The Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron represent the production versions of 2019’s Q4 concept and Q4 Sportback e-tron concept cars, and are thus another step forward in the marque’s development of its e-mobility line-up.
The new compact SUVs retain the concept version’s striking bodylines with short front overhangs and aggressive postures. Accordingly, their surface treatments have been pared back while still retaining an expressive, aerodynamic silhouette. The result? A drag coefficient of just 0.29 and 0.28 in the Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron, respectively.
