Before the crazy times of lockdowns and worldwide pandemics, there used to be a massive multi-day gaming show called E3. It was the premier event for all things gaming, often seeing massive announcements from the big three platforms, shock console announcements, and Keanu Reeves. Sadly that all changed when the entire world changed. Although the conference might not be back in physical form, there was an unofficial slew of publisher live streams announcing their biggest games at what became known as Not-E3. Sure it might have lacked the pageantry and drama of the actual E3 event, but it did not hold back on some massive new game announcements. Here are some of our favorite games announced for the near future.
Stray
Let’s be honest, the majority of us wish we were cats. You get to sleep all day long, have ninja-like agility and go on nighttime adventures. Fortunately Stray allows our wildest cat fantasies to come true. Lost, alone, and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten city. Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures. See the world through the eyes of a cat and interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world. Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B-12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.
