Weight has never been a concern for a Rolls-Royce. Packing on the pounds in return for more comfort and cocooned insulation is a trade that they’ve never made a compromise on. Now, however, Rolls-Royce is adding weight in the form of batteries and electric motors to produce the firm’s first electric model. Think ultra-silent, zero-emission luxury that never has to visit a dirty petrol station ever again – is there a better candidate for electric propulsion?
Set to arrive in late 2023, the Rolls-Royce Spectre is a watershed moment for the company and its customers.
There simply isn’t anything quite like it in the market; no electric Bentley or Aston Martin to give some light, niche context.
