Boiling Point

If there's a spring 2024 trend worth embracing in a heartbeat it's the boilersuit. Anthony Vaccarello, the designer who rebooted our infatuation with pencil skirts went all out on them in his collection for Saint Laurent, giving a super-luxury look to a wardrobe classic. The shape to have now is long-sleeved and slouchy; imagine a Kwik Fit mechanic with chandelier earrings and scarlet lips.

Martini Shorts 

You don’t need a Tui flight to somewhere hot to get your shorts back on—a Christmas party invitation should suffice. The gods of fashion have decreed that a silky or tailored pair of shorts worn with a long jacket or an oversized top is the new cocktail party essential. This is the micromini trend for women with places to go.

Midlife Midriffs 

The bad news is that the crop top trend is going nowhere. The good news is that it’s now just about possible for grown-ups to get in on the act. The key, as we saw at Victoria Beckham and Miu Miu, is to show just a slice of skin rather than go the whole hog. Think T-shirts that graze the waistband or a shirt tucked slightly to the side. This is way more flattering than you might think, honest.
